Solving maths problems Using a number balance to work out the value of a big number with two smaller numbers
Step 1 See-Saw box templates Cut out the 2 templates Fold and crease all the fold lines Cut the corner lines
Step 2 Fold and glue the boxes Fold up the sides and use a glue stick to glue all the tabs Close the tabs onto the sides and make the box.
Step 3 Make the See-Saw Sticky tack a bulldog clip to the desk. bulldog clip and hold with an elastic band. Balance a ruler on the Use sticky the card boxes to each side of the ruler.
Step 4 See-Saw Fun Working as a team, one student places a number of coins or marbles in the boxes on the see-saw. The other students have to work out how many coins or marbles are needed to balance the see-saw.
