French & Indian War
The French & Indian War was fought between French, Indians, and British over land in North America from 1754 to 1763. The Treaty of Paris ended the war in 1764 with Britain emerging as the victor. The Proclamation Line of 1763 restricted colonists from settling west of the Appalachian Mountains, leading to tensions and taxation issues as King George imposed taxes on the colonists to generate revenue.
