The Florida Turnaround Leaders Program (FTLP) aims to prepare leaders for challenging school environments by developing essential skills and strategies. Led by a team of experienced presenters and consultants, the program focuses on building leadership capacity, refining turnaround skills, and providing practical experiences in low-achieving schools. With a comprehensive program design encompassing intensive training, integrated practice, and mentorship support, FTLP is designed to create a cohort of competent leaders ready to lead school turnaround efforts in Florida.

FTLP Program Design Turnaround Knowledge and Skills Intensive Integrated Practice Design and Governance Skills Practice 12-month practicum in low- achieving schools, with authentic assignments and activities Ten Turnaround Skill sets; based on UVA Tenets, FL DOE specifications and research Core Planning Team and Charter Design Team; Quarterly District Conferences 6-month full-time internship in a low-performing school; 90-Day school improvement plan 10 Quarterly Seminars, five SREB Online Modules, and UNF Graduate Courses Participating Districts and Charter Organizations, SREB, UNF, FL DOE Mentor principal guidance and feedback on performance; task-specific rubrics Mentor and Coach guidance and feedback on learning and practice; portfolio record of learning
