Florida Linkage Institutes: Securing International Students for In-state Tuition
The Florida Linkage Institutes program, established in 1986 by the Florida Legislature, facilitates educational and social exchanges between Florida and various foreign countries. It offers tuition exemptions for international students from select countries studying at Florida community colleges and state universities. Eligible students must be F-1 visa holders and commit to returning to their home country after their study period. The program is jointly administered by state universities and community colleges, fostering partnerships with institutions in countries such as Brazil, France, Canada, and more. To apply, students must contact the Linkage Institute Director of their country.
