In the next slide we are going to explore some bible verses in which we can find the origin of an organic church. You can see some churches starting at homes, initiated with the guidance of the Holy Spirit without the plans of an institution, growing in a very natural way with no traditional programs. Men were convinced by the Holy Spirit to share the gospel to the Gentiles even without the command or direct plans of the Apostles. That happened among men from Cyprus and Cyrene. The Lord instructed his disciples to follow a very simple way to start a church: finding first a child of peace by going there where people live. Later on some houses were opened to become the scenario for the new church. You will find an ACROSTIC with the word ORGANIC in which it is explained in a very simple form what an organic church is all about.

O: in organic stands for: Original *The church has to be original, not emulating any church or imitating what other churches do. *Church is creative and innovative in all she does
Reproducible Ratified The organic church is one that reproduce itself by bringing new believers, and baptizing them. R in ORGANIC stands for: God cast the vision and approves the beginning of this church
G: stands for: Genes of a church It has the DNA of a New Testament CHURCH: It is reflected through the functions of the church.: Worship, Discipleship, Proclamation, and Fellowship
A in ORGANIC stands for: Adoration This church is focused in Christ and adores Him with all the things she does: baptizing, giving offerings, prayer, etc
N in ORGANIC is for: Natural The church grows in a natural way. It is a simple church not based in multiple programs. It has order, but is always avoiding complicated systems.
I in ORGANIC is: Intentional The people meeting in this church have the intention to be a church, not only a bible study or social group
Finally, the C in Organic means to be : Centered in community Many traditional churches become focused on their members only. The organic church essence is based in reaching out to the community
