Essential Services Allowed During State of Emergency in Ministry of Commerce

Essential services allowed to operate until February 16, 2021, by the Ministry of Commerce include food vendors, banking services, utilities, telecommunications, automotive services, hotels, supermarkets, legal services, farming activities, and more. Restrictions on intoxicating liquor sales continue, and a state of emergency with a curfew from 7pm to 5am is in effect until May 16, 2021, subject to review. Computer sales and servicing will be added to the approved activities.

Ministry of Commerce, International Trade, Investment, Enterprise Development and Consumer Affairs ESSENTIAL SERVICES ALLOWED TO OPERATE Existing Measures are expected to continue until February 16, 2021 with the operation of the following Approved Activities/Businesses: Food Trucks and Food stalls Vending of Food or Agricultural Produce Financial or Banking Services Restaurants Public or Private Electricity, Water, Telecommunication and other utility services Automobile Garages Hotel and Guest House Restaurants Tire supply and Repair Services Supermarkets, Mini-marts, Small Shops, Bakeries Hotels Auto Parts Supply Services Manufacturing & Export Services Law Offices Food supply & Preparation services Farming & Fishing Activities Accounting Services Gas Station and Petroleum Services Telecommunications services The Judiciary Hardware Stores

  3. Ministry of Commerce, International Trade, Investment, Enterprise Development and Consumer Affairs ESSENTIAL SERVICES ALLOWED TO OPERATE Computer Sales, Servicing and Repairs to be added to the schedule

  4. Ministry of Commerce, International Trade, Investment, Enterprise Development and Consumer Affairs RESTRICTIONS ON SALE AND DISPOSAL OF INTOXICATING LIQUOUR The existing restrictions on sale and disposal of intoxicating liquor will remain in Effect until February 24, 2021.

  5. Ministry of Commerce, International Trade, Investment, Enterprise Development and Consumer Affairs STATE OF EMERGENCY The State of Emergency and Current Curfew (7pm to 5am) will continue from February 11 to May 16, 2021. However this can be reviewed, altered, amended or discontinued pursuant to regulations made by the Governor General.

  6. Ministry of Commerce, International Trade, Investment, Enterprise Development and Consumer Affairs AUTHORITY The legal authority for the continuation of the above measures will be dispatched shortly.
