Enhancing Detroit Bike Share Program for Accessibility
Detroit Bike Share & Programs to Educate All Cyclists (PEAC) aims to build an inclusive bike share system. The proposal includes offering a variety of cycles for different abilities, hiring a coordinator for individuals with disabilities, and providing training. Two accessible bike share scenarios are outlined, each with strengths and weaknesses. Key questions include the rental period, fitting services for riders, potential user groups, and other critical factors to consider for accessible bike share success.
