  1. Welcome to our online Sunday worship service NAIROBI CHRISTIAN CHURCH WESTERN BLOC.

  2. It is terrifying to step into the unknown. Malaria kills a lot of people worldwide, but the cure for malaria is known, for that reason, we are not as terrified about contracting Malaria as we are of Covid -19.

  3. Matthew 14:22~32 Jesus walks on the water 22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, 24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.

  4. 25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. It s a ghost, they said, and cried out in fear. 27 But Jesus immediately said to them: Take courage! It is I. Don t be afraid. 28 Lord, if it s you, Peter replied, tell me to come to you on the water. 29 Come, he said.

  5. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came towards Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, Lord, save me! 31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. You of little faith, he said, why did you doubt? 32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those who were in the boat worshipped him, saying, Truly you are the Son of God.

  6. Theres a lot of uncertainty about the future. Will a cure ever be found . Some of us are terrified of the unknown because when we look around us all we see is ghosts but if we know his voice, it will bring courage and clarity. Romans 8:28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. There are hard times ahead, but God promises to be close to us even when we are heart broken

  7. Psalm. 34:1~10,17~18 1I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. 2I will glory in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. 3Glorify the LORD with me: let us exalt his name together. 4I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. 5Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. 6This poor man called, and the LORD heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles. 7The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. 8Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. 9Fear the LORD, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing. 10The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing

  8. 17The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. 18The LORD is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. If we persevere through this tough time, something good is going to come out of it. We can allow God to train us. 1 Corinthians 10:13No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

  9. The more I work hard the harder it seems to get, Blessings will come from obedience. 1 CORINTHIANS.15:58 Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain. 58Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Your labor in the Lord is not in vain. There is a lot of unknown out there, but we must go to what is known. Hold on to what is known. The promises of God.

  10. Commit to listening to Gods voice daily. We all need a personal relationship with God. Where there is no faith, there is no growth. If we are going to grow spiritually, we ve got to take steps of faith. Steps that allow God to take us beyond where we can go on our own. (Just like Simon Peter) We all have a role and a responsibility. Not just receive the gospel, but also take the gospel to the rest of our world
