What is a School Games
Organising Crew (SGOC)?
A School Games Organising Crew is…
…a group of young people who work
together as a team and
promote the
need to lead an active healthy lifestyle
We will:
ensure the school put physical activity, PE and sport at the
heart of the school
organise, co-ordinate, promote and ensure ALL children
participate in the local MSSP School Games competitions,
PE, school sport and extra curricular activities
Create and promote the school’s Active 30:30 plan with
the help of
NAME (PE coordinator)

Challenges Challenges 1) Get everyone more active by 30 minutes throughout the day by promoting regular interval activities of 5,10 or 15 minutes Get more people attending more extra curricular activities Set up weekly Personal challenges to engage the least active children and to challenge everyone else Set up a Chage4life club to engage the least active children in the school Set up Active 30:30 classrooms and engage the teachers to do short bursts of activity with their classes, throughout the day.
