Empowering Women in Criminal Justice: A Transformational Journey
Inspire Women's Team, led by Area Manager Jacqueline Nicholson and Probation Officer Alison McClay, is dedicated to changing lives and creating safer communities through a gender-responsive approach. They work at every stage of the criminal justice system, focusing on supervising sentences, supporting victims, and partnering with male perpetrators for positive change. The team addresses substance misuse, mental health, and family strengthening while emphasizing empowerment and social capital for women on probation. With a strong focus on understanding women's realities and providing multi-dimensional support, they are making a significant impact in Northern Ireland.
