What is RaiseRight? Formally called Great Lakes Scrips & Shop with script An easy & convenient way to earn money for our parish Over 750 brands to choose gift cards from nationally St. Peter and Paul Parish has coordinated with local businesses as well
How do I participate? There are 2 ways that parishioners can participate: 1. Original method: Fill out form after Mass or at rectory / check written for amount / order filled by parish volunteer in rectory / pick-up available in rectory 2. Order thru the RaiseRight app (must have a smartphone or computer to order this way major advantage in availability AND access of gift cards!!! )
How do I sign up for this app? Download the RaiseRight app to your smartphone Join a program You will need an enrollment code so RaiseRight knows what organization you are wanting funds to go to Sts. Peter and Paul Parish enrollment code is : E5F738934273 Create an account You DO NOT need to fill out who you are fundraising for or classroom group
How do I order thru this app? Once you ve joined you will have access to shop the many brands and add them to your cart You will see percentages by each business; this is the earning potential for our parish Example: Walmart gift card has earning potential of 2.24% Example: Walmart gift card has earning potential of 2.24% $200 Walmart gift card = $4.48 profit for our parish $200 Walmart gift card = $4.48 profit for our parish You can scroll thru all the brands or you can use the search button at the top of the screen to see if the business you want to purchase from is a part of this program Choose the business you wish to order a gift card from
How do I pick which card to order? Many businesses have 2 types of gift cards 1. eGift Card this is an electronic gift card that comes directly to your smartphone advantage: You have instant access to use this card 2. Gift Card: plastic gift card that will be ordered via you but delivered to your parish and available for pick up at the rectory
eGift Cards - electronic gift cards Great option to use if the business offers this option Instantly available to your wallet tab located at the bottom of the screen Uses a UPC code or barcode that can be scanned by the retailer Your wallet will keep track of funds used and give you the remaining balance
Gift Cards If a retailer does not have the eGift Card option, then a plastic gift card can be ordered and your gift card will be available for pick up at the rectory ** Notice you do have the option to send these cards directly to your home address BUT you will be required to pay the shipping fee. The parish orders in bulk and therefore will pay shipping fees for bulk orders. This is a huge savings both for you AND the parish!! **
Gift Cards that say reloadable Some gift cards have the reloadable option as well Great feature for the plastic gift cards where funds can be added to an already purchased gift card Alleviates the purchase of a new plastic gift card Parishioner can add funds to these cards without having to purchase a new plastic card
Placing an order Choose the business you want to order a card from Pick which type of card you want eGift Card or Gift Card ( If you already have a gift card from this business, is it a reloadable card? If so, funds can be added to that card.) Add this card to your cart Continue with shopping and add these to your cart
How do I pay for these cards? There are 2 ways to do this. 1. You can pay for these cards by direct access to your bank account 2. Write a check and pay coordinator (which is our parish)
Payment options via bank account You can link your bank account to pay for your purchases RaiseRight is partnered thru PLAID which is the same holding company that Venmo utilizes You can either provide your bank information to them OR do a manual input of checking account number and routing number If the manual option is utilized, RaiseRight will deposit 2 small deposits to this routing number given and you then verify the amount of the two deposits through the app (This ensures the bank account is linked directly!)
How do I see the payment options in the app? Under settings, you will see two options of payment Either you pay through your bank account directly or you choose to write a check to the parish and the orders will be processed **Notice, if you manage your payment options through your bank directly, you can get instant access to eGift Cards**
Advantages of eGift card option There are many advantages to using an eGift Card if available 1. You get instant access to use this card 2. Your wallet feature in RaiseRight will keep track of the balance for you 3. You can buy eGift Cards and send them to others via email or screenshot the UPC code and send via text
What are the fees associated with using this app? RaiseRight charges a 15 cent processing fee for each bulk order Therefore it is BEST to order your gift cards in one complete order The 15 cent charge is NOT per gift card, it is per complete order The Parish will absorb the shipping fees for the plastic gift cards, again these are ordered in BULK and only ONE fee is charged per order
What about local businesses? We live in a very generous community and local businesses have partnered with us to provide gift cards to raise funds for our parish as well Local business gift cards can be viewed & ordered in RaiseRight app Local businesses DO NOT offer the eGift or reloadable card option; these gift cards need to be picked up at the rectory
How often are orders ordered and filled? Currently orders are verified and ordered bi-weekly to maximize profit vs. costs of shipping these cards IF there are many orders outstanding, these orders can be verified and filled weekly Again, if eGift Cards are used, there is no need to write checks and wait for these to be picked up. You have instant access to use these!!
The use of this fundraising program can generate much needed funds to help our parish. The purchases of groceries, gas, entertainment, home improvement, and such can all have an impact in helping our parish at the same time. With the collaborative effort of each parishioner, each incremental profit can add up to a substantial revenue for Sts. Peter and Paul Parish!!!!
