  11. OFFICIAL I am very excited to achieve the [Workplace Skills] Award. It s been challenging at times but really worthwhile as I am a different person now. A year and a half ago I was very shy, had very little confidence, was anxious about many things and I didn t really know what I was capable of doing. I started working towards the [Workplace Skills] Award and learned about different rules, expectations and behaviours that are expected of employees. I also started volunteering where I have had the opportunity to try my newly learned skills. A few months down the line, I was confident enough to apply and secure a job within hospitality. I have since moved to a different role and this month will be 1 year since I began this. Emma Miller OFFICIAL
