God sent us against you Surrender and we will treat you well

Therefore lift up your prayer for the remnantthat is left.

Sennacherib Defies God 2 Kings 19:6-7 And Isaiah said to them, Thus you shall say to your master, Thus says the Lord: Do not be afraid of the words which you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me. Surely I will send a spirit upon him, and he shall hear a rumor and return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.

The Holy One of Israel By your messengers you have reproached the Lord Reproach definition to express disapproval of, or disappointment in; to blame; to bring shame or disgrace upon; You think about everything you ve done to the other nations I know where you live and who you are

  23. Sennacherib Defies God 2 Kings 19:28 Because your rage against Me and your tumult Have come up to My ears, Therefore I will put My hook in your nose And My bridle in your lips, And I will turn you back By the way which you came.

  24. Sennacherib Defies God The Lord gave Hezekiah a sign saying: You will eat what grows of itself this year and next The third year you will sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat their fruit 2 Kings 19:32-34

Sennacherib Defies God And it came to pass on a certain night that the Angel of the Lord killed 185,000 in the Assyrian camp!!! 2 Kings 19:35 So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed and went away, returned home, and remained at Nineveh 2 Kings 19:36 Two of Sennacherib s sons, Adrammelech and Sharezer, killed him with a sword as he was worshipping in the temple of Nisroch his god Sennacherib s son, Esarhaddon, reigned in his place

  29. Hezekiahs Sickness & Recovery Hezekiah was sick and near death 2 Kings 20:1 Isaiah told Hezekiah Thus says the Lord: Set your house in order, for you shall die, and not live Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall and prayed that God would remember his loyalty to God

  30. Hezekiahs Sickness & Recovery Isaiah was leaving Hezekiah but before he got out into the middle court , the Lord spoke to him The Lord said: Return to Hezekiah the leader of My people

Hezekiahs Sickness & Recovery The Lord said to tell Hezekiah: I have heard your prayer & I have seen your tears I will heal you On the 3rd day you shall go to the house of the Lord I will add 15 years to your life I will deliver you and this city from the king of Assyria I will defend this city for My own sake, and for the sake of My servant David

Hezekiahs Sickness & Recovery Isaiah said to take a lump of figs and lay it on the boil Hezekiah recovered Hezekiah had asked what sign would the Lord give that He would heal Hezekiah Isaiah asked if a shadow should go down 10 degrees or go backward 10 degrees Hezekiah chose backward. The Lord caused the shadow to go backward 10 degrees on the sundial of Ahaz

Hezekiahs Sickness & Recovery This sickness seems to have occurred at the same time that Sennacherib was defying God: 2 Kings 18:13 Sennacherib came against the fortified cities of Judah in Hezekiah s 14th year 2 Kings 18:2 Hezekiah reigned 29 years 2 Kings 20:6 God added 15 years to Hezekiah s life & said: I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for My own sake, and for the sake of My servant David.

Messengers From Babylon Berodach-Baladan the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, send letters and a present to Hezekiah for he heard that Hezekiah had been sick Hezekiah showed the ambassadors everything he had: All the silver and gold The spices and precious oinment All his armory There was nothing in his house or in all his dominion that Hezekiah did not show them 2 Kings 20:13

  37. Messengers From Babylon Isaiah later came to Hezekiah and asked him: What did these men say? Where did they come from? What have they seen in your house? Hezekiah answered that they came from a far country, from Babylon and that he had showed them all his treasures

Messengers From Babylon Isaiah told Hezekiah that the days were coming when: All you and your fathers have accumulated will be carried to Babylon Some of your descendants bill be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon So Hezekiah said to Isaiah, The word of the Lord which you have spoken is good! For he said, Will there not be peace and truth at least in my days? 2 Kings 20:19
