Developing Young Workforce Enterprise Week Let s make 10 minutes count
Your task In the 10 minutes of Personal Support you will start an in school enterprise group by writing a business plan and a pitch. The best ideas will be funded by the school to start up! You can work by yourself, in groups, or as a whole class!
Day 1 - Validation Share your ideas What is an entrepreneur? What skills do entrepreneurs have? How do entrepreneurs become successful?
Day 2 - Customers Know your customer
Ardrossan Academy If Ardrossan Academy is the business Who is the CEO? Who are the customers? What service/product does the school provide?
Who are your customers? What product/service do they require? By tomorrow we need some ideas! You can work by yourself, in a small group or as a whole class
Day 3 Business Model Canvas
This simple business plan model will allow us to quickly bring all our ideas together to develop our business plan. Lets work through this together
What exactly do you need to do? List how you will do what you will do How will you ensure your customers come back? Who do you need to work with? Who are your customers? What is the product / service you will provide? What do you need to succeed? How will you provide your product / service? Where does your initial start up money come from? Where does your future income come from? Where will you spend money? Stock, staff etc.
Thursday 60 second pitch You should now have a business model. Now you re going to learn how to pitch in 60s for an investment. Write down a statement for each of these on the back of your business model.
Make me interested! Why do we need your product/service? What does your product/service solve? What is the market? Know your customer Is there any competition? Or risks involved Who is involved? What have you done so far? What investment do you want? How much money?
Friday Present to your class If you have a business plan which you feel can work leave it in Mr Bell s dookit or take it to him (AF1). You will get feedback soon about whether you will be funded or not.
