No longer distributor of the Jersey CI Lottery Effect of new constitution may be to limit scope of operations to Registered Charities only AJC Funding for development work has ceased with immediate effect Reduced role inevitable
Grants and membership together a potential for conflict of interest Members appoint Trustees Trustees decide how to distribute grants Grants are awarded to members
Recommendations The AJC to continue as a grant distributor and supporter of Registered Charities. A new company is created to provide infrastructure support only to the whole sector, beyond the AJC s previous charity membership.
Next Steps Consultation with Third Sector Seek the views of the AJC members Who wishes to be involved? Form a steering group AJC AGM on 26th September What resources (time, funding etc) are available? Executive team needed to move the project on. Who?
