Exodus 25 Commanded Pattern of The Tabernacle & Furnishings
Every family was to bring God an offering; given willingly form his heart. (2 Corinthians 9: 6 11) God told them what to offer: GOLD SILVER BRASS BLUE, PURPLE AND SCARLET, FINE LINEN, GOATS HAIR, RAM S SKINS DIED RED, BADGER S SKINS, SHITTIM WOOD, OIL FOR LIGHT, SPICES FOR ANNOINTING OIL AND SWEET INCENSE, ONYK STONES, STONES TO BE SET IN THE BREASTPLATE OF THE EPHOD.
According to the pattern! Acts 7:44 Hebrews 8 Make Me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.
2 cubits long by 1 cubits high and wide = approximately 3 x 1 x 1 feet dimention. Overlaid within and without with gold. Crown of gold around the top of the box Four golden rings; one in each corner with golden staves that were NOT to be removed! ARK STAVE CROWN
Inside the ark was to be (eventually) three items: tables of stone (covenant) Aaron s rod that budded Pot of manna
Upon the box was to be the mercy seat. made of pure gold two cherubims of gold all of the same metal! (vs. 18-19) Wings were to almost touch, with faces toward each other toward the mercy seat. God would meet commune with Moses at this place.
Table for shewbread 2 cubits x 1 x 1 x 1 = 3 feet x 1 x 1 x 1 Overlaid with gold Bordered as a crown of gold Four rings of gold with staves of gold Dishes of gold, spoons of gold, covers of gold. Shewbread was to be ALWAYS before God!
The Candlestick Made of pure gold; all one piece of beaten (fashioned) work. The fashion of it was to be uniform (verses 33 36). The tongs (snuffers) and snuffdishes (trays) were of pure gold. The weight of the candlestick was to one talent of gold And look that thou make them after the pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.
