History of CSOs engagement with CPS Our main customer has traditionally been the EU 2003/4 the Statistical Potential of Administrative Records (SPAR) project Identified opportunities for development and recommended that Departments implement data strategies to progress (and then ) New data linkage division to demonstrate CPS data value 2

Alternative journey The Great Recession traditional role Housing crisis pathfinders developed COVID partnerships, data rooms, more secondments Ukraine crisis dashboards, loan statisticians ( hit squad needs a better name!), data integration service Each crisis has expanded CSO s services as Data Steward 4
