Who We Are

We are an independent home improvement agency
with charitable status. We were established in 1993
to support older, disabled and vulnerable people in
the Preston area. Over the last 25 years we have
grown to cover Preston, South Ribble,
Chorley, West Lancashire, Fylde and Pendle.

We deliver a wide range of services to help older,
disabled and vulnerable people stay safe, secure,
warm and independent in their own homes.

Vision

Our vision is safe, secure, warm homes for all
enabling independent living and improving health
and well being.

We will achieve this by listening and responding to
our clients, working with our partners and engaging
with local communities to develop and deliver high
quality services.

other aspects of being safe, secure, warm and independent. Our

the following areas of work:

Handyperson Service
Minor Works Service
Minor Adaptations Service
Larger Adaptations & Repairs
Advice & Support

Our services are for people over 60; or registered disabled; or
over 18 with a long term health condition that affects their
mobility in the home, or any other vulnerable person.

Healthy Home Assessment

Our Healthy Homes Caseworker will provide a
comprehensive assessment based on the themes of:
 Safe Home
 Secure Home
 Warm Home

We will provide advice and guidance on what steps
the client may wish to take to improve the health of
their home. Where appropriate - and with the
clients consent - we will also signpost or refer them
to other agencies that may be able to help them.

Handyperson Service

Our trusted Handyperson Service will help our clients to stay on
top of household repairs and DIY. No job is too small – we can help
with everything from changing a light bulb or putting up a curtain

plus the cost of any materials.

Sanctuary Scheme

The Sanctuary Scheme is designed to enable victims of
domestic abuse to remain in their own homes, where it is safe
for them to do so and where it is their own choice.

The service also ensures that when clients move in to their new
home security measures can be installed.

The service is designed to offer another option for those who
would otherwise have to move house and leave everything and
everyone behind at a time when they need the support
networks the most.

This is done by providing additional security at the property.
