Comprehensive Overview of LCP Deployment Mid-2019
In the mid-2019 LCP deployment, the need for DRM in e-lending and retail usage was highlighted. This led to the consideration of a non-proprietary solution like LCP, which offers good protection, cost-efficiency, and GDPR compliance. The implementation of LCP was seen as a favorable option due to its versatility in handling various publication types and distribution methods, along with its certification of interoperability. The adoption of LCP was noted in France, Belgium, Germany, UK, Sweden, Norway, and Russia by various publishing groups, e-distributors, library portals, booksellers, and reading systems.
