4. Where? o East Flanders, Belgium o Has a lot of parishes like: Nieuwkerken, Belsele, Sinaai, Stekene, Sint-Gillis- Waas, Thalia Verdesseldonck - Kathleen Van Mele 6ST

5. How? o Became a city in 1217 o A count of Flanders owned Sint-Niklaas o In 1241, the city was promoted to capital city of the Waasland Thalia Verdesseldonck - Kathleen Van Mele 6ST
