Coaching the Coaches
 
Objective: To deliver a broad offering of health, well being and lifestyle
education to the population of XXXXXXXX through the medium of football
using mobile technology.
To build the coaching and teaching capacity in Iraq via a programme of
coach education as being facilitators to learning.
Once qualified, the local coaches will deliver teaching, coaching and
motivation across the communities.
Target audience: School teachers, community leaders, health professionals,
parents, students. Charity – refugee camps.

Level 1 Practical Example football coaching Block 1.1 General Techniques Outcomes of the Block By the end of the Block players should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the Receiving off different parts of the body, ways of creating space with a first touch. The ability to try and add movement to create/exploit space. Begin to understand the practice and playing philosophy. Purpose of the Block To set the scene for the season. This period will be used to cover all sports science testing, screening and medical. The football aspect will cover an initial overview of technical development and set the scene with club culture, practice ethic and team styles and strategies Techniques to cover Performance Measure Outcomes to be achieved in Semi-Opposed , Opposed practices with overloads and Small sided games 9v9 Control/Receiving Movement Passing Technical Outcomes 1stTouch- inside/outside of both feet. Create space Short / driven / lofted chest and head. opportunities or retaining control. Understand pass selection depending on distances, Inside, front foot, driven, clipped, chipped, lofted Perform all techniques at speed and under pressure Show an understanding of supporting angles and distance. Select correct surface to receive the ball, foot, inside and outside, thigh, Timing Both feet Receive and control the ball into an area allowing the best passing Angle and distance Volley, thigh, chest control Awareness Cushion control/wedge control Tactical Requirements Tactical Outcomes Decide correct surface for control Receiving with awareness recognise space to change angle Have good knowledge of where team mates are Understand turn back foot exploitation of space Show movement and support to enable passing priorities and Develop position priorities against all criteria Recognise how to create space and exploit space.
