A few things to keep in mind as you use this template: Not all slides are relevant for all programs. Add or delete slides when necessary! An * indicates that additional advice or guidance located in the Speaker Notes section. Mission / Vision Statement You may include a slide with ESE s mission and/or vision statement.* Example: CEO s vision is that anyone with a criminal record who wants to work has the preparation and support needed to find a job and stay connected to the labor force. We believe that everyone, regardless of their past, deserves the chance to shape a stronger future for themselves, their family, and their communities. Program Goals List program goals, or other information you would like to impart to the participant about your ESE. Example: Our goals are that: Participants will enter full-time, unsubsidized employment earning at least $15/hour. Clients will retain employment for at least 6 months. Program Components Give an overview of program components with definitions or descriptions in plain language.* Example: Job Search Assistance: resume development, mock interviewing, and private job fairs. Work Experience: paid experience ($12/hour) on work crews. Consider creating a slide for each component describing client experience - an example is including on the next slide. Goals of SNAP E&T Give a 1-2 sentence description of SNAP Employment and Training. Consult your state or county agency to find out if they have a description of SNAP E&T that they would prefer you to use. Example: The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training (SNAP E&T) program assists SNAP recipients in achieving their career goals by providing participants with a broad range of services focused on their interests and needs. Benefits of SNAP and SNAP E&T Since participating in E&T may not look very different than participating in your ESE s training without enrolling in E&T, consider explaining to the participant how E&T supports access to employment and training overall for SNAP recipients, and highlight the importance of benefits generally for individuals. Example: SNAP and SNAP E&T provide: Food security in the first months returning home; Support services; Referral to additional training via other E&T partners Center for Employment Opportunities ceoworks.org
SNAP E&T Eligibility State the eligibility requirements of SNAP E&T. Example: To participate you: must receive SNAP benefits the month you participate in a component, except Retention. must not receive TANF. must be able to work.* We will contact the SNAP E&T agency to verify that you are eligible prior to enrollment. You will still be able to enroll in the ESE program even if you are not eligible for SNAP E&T.** Center for Employment Opportunities ceoworks.org
Applying for SNAP Create a slide explaining resources/process for client who would like to receive SNAP, but currently do not.* Example: If you do not have SNAP, we can help you to: Determine if you qualify. Complete your application. Prepare for and schedule your interview. Center for Employment Opportunities ceoworks.org
Assessment List the skills and knowledge that will be assessed during the interview.* If possible, indicate who will deliver the interview and when it will take place. Example: Within one week of submitting all documentation, your case manager will schedule an interview. They will ask you questions about your: Education, Employment history, Employment skills, abilities, and interests. Center for Employment Opportunities ceoworks.org
Your Rights List any participant rights dictated by law and the policies of your ESE.* Example: You have the right to: Receive services without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, political affiliation, marital status, sex, gender, handicap, or age. Have staff provide services with courtesy, consideration, and respect. Discuss your case with the county any time you are dissatisfied. Center for Employment Opportunities ceoworks.org
Participant Responsibilities Reiterate participant responsibilities for your ESE s program. Example: You are responsibilities: Submit timesheets weekly.
