Services include developmental reviews, Bookstart sessions, self-weigh opportunities, and community drop-ins. Welcome to your local family hub, where you can access free, friendly and high-quality health services in your community, school, online or family home. We offer a variety of sessions to support your child s development and build strong parent-child relationships. Early Support We have staff available Monday Friday who can provide advice and support to families in our local community. We can also assist with 2-year funding applications for childcare. Family Hubs ensure that children, young people and families (0-19 years or up to 25 years if SEND) can access integrated early support. We provide a one-stop shop of family support services for your mental and physical health plus your educational and social care needs. Our partner agencies include midwifes, GP's, CAMHS and local community groups. Drop in Self weigh An opportunity for you to drop in to our hubs and weigh your baby/child no need to book an appointment. A member of the team will be available for support if needed. Community Self weigh (weekdays only 9-5pm) The focus of our service is making sure that everyone in Essex has the best possible start in life through meeting the identified needs of children, young people and families. An opportunity for you to drop in to Chelmsford Library CM1 1QH, and independently weigh your baby/child no need to book an appointment. For follow up support please call us on 0300 2470014. Bookstart aims to encourage a love of books, stories and rhymes in children from as young an age as possible Within our sessions, we will be incorporating stories, songs and rhymes plus sharing tips and strategies for parents to continue to share books and songs with their children. Let's talk together Following your child s. 2 -3-year assessment, this 3-week course will be exploring strategies for parents/carers to use, to help develop their child s speech and language. *Referral only* Self-weigh An opportunity to use the scales and weigh your child independently. Guidance will be displayed on how to use the equipment and record the results School age drop in Drop in for advice and support about your school aged child s health and development. Introduction to solids One drop in face to face/virtual session a month discussing the introduction of solids and signs to look for when your baby is ready to start weaning. Typical toddlers A drop in 4-week programme for children aged 18months 5 years which explores, tantrums, fussy eating, boundaries, routines and sharing. Toilet training support One off workshop to support you with toilet training for your preschool child. ICAN do it A 4-week program for families and their young children, with a particular focus on children aged three to five years, to enable parents/carers to support their children to be school ready. Running the term before they start school, virtual or face to face. Infant Massage A 5-week infant massage course helping with attachment, colic, reflux and relaxation. *Referral only*
