Camp Summit Is…

A weekly, overnight camp for children, adults and seniors with special
needs where they are
encouraged to step outside of their ordinary, highly
structured routines, and make their own decisions about what to wear,
where to go, and how to interact in group activities.
It’s a great day when campers gain the confidence to try new things and
shatter previously held beliefs about their abilities, becoming a little more
independent in the process!
Imagine a child never being picked in gym class to be on a team
who is now the captain of the camp’s basketball team!
Imagine an adult abandoning his wheelchair and successfully completing
all the elements of the ropes course, including the Big Finish….
zip lining down from the tall tower…as his friends cheer him on!

2,508 campers served in 2019, including
1,914 campers in weeklong sessions – a
camp record!
Year-round camps including:
22 one-week camp sessions
3 weekend camps
several single day events
82% of campers from North Texas
(29% Tarrant County & 20% Dallas County)
Serving ages 6 to 99 - NO u
pper age limit
Fee for one week of camp is $1,500
Camperships and Sliding Scale Fees assist
90% of campers - so no one is denied access
Campers receive individualized attention with
our 2:1 Camper to Counselor Ratio
