Why CAIR 2.0?
Why CAIR 2.0?

The California Immunization Registry (CAIR) is getting
even better.
We’re implementing a new, faster, Immunization Information
System (IIS) with many new features such as easy integration with
EHR systems. No more double entry! The same software has
already been successful in 17 other states.

You will be able to access immunization information
from across the state.
All existing immunization data from the regional registries in
California are being combined into one system.

CAIR 2.0 is Bigger…
CAIR 2.0 is Bigger…

Access to more patient records
statewide
 means
new patients are more likely to be in the system,
decreasing time for data entry, increasing record
completeness, decreasing needless repeating of
vaccinations.

CAIR 2.0 is Better…
CAIR 2.0 is Better…

No more double-entry.

EHRs that have HL7 standards can
access CAIR data from their EHR after an easy automated
system check.
Inventory will be automatically adjusted in CAIR
after recording in your EHR and vice versa.

State-of-the-art software
works with any browser
and is web-
based so no downloading or installation is required. Built-in
help options link to video demonstrations and other resources
from where you need it within the software.

CAIR 2.0 is Faster…
CAIR 2.0 is Faster…

No more waiting
to give yellow cards to your
patients. New servers will increase band width
improving performance. Information entered into
the system is immediately accessible.
Data is updated in real-time
 and is patient-
specific. If another provider such as an ER or
pharmacy enters a shot for your patient into
CAIR, it will immediately show up in your CAIR
and EHR patient records.
