  4. Nominees for Board Membership Matt Castner, Director of Population Health, Johns Hopkins Howard Co. Medical Center D Paul Nibber, Senior Policy & Community Engagement Officer, Horizon Foundation Jackie Scott, Director, Department of Community Resources & Services

  6. Training Launched 2/26/24 Hired Kim Patton, Excelerator Program Manager

  7. Training Held four training workshops: Taking the Fear out of Fundraising Developing an Effective Fundraising Plan Writing Powerful Proposals Preparing Proposal Budgets

  8. Training Continued educational partnership with Maryland Nonprofits Provided ACS members and other nonprofit professionals with a variety of learning programs ACS members paid the reduced Maryland Nonprofit member rate for these workshops

  9. Meetings Held varied information & networking opportunities Childcare & Housing as Economic Drivers Update on the Age-Friendly Initiative Conversation with Board of Education candidates Conversation with the County s State Delegation Conversation with the HCPSS Superintendent Funders Forum Howard County Estate Planners Council / philanthropic lunch

Advocacy Representing the nonprofit sector Financial Empowerment Center Advisory Committee Board to Promote Self-Sufficiency Housing Affordability Coalition Local Health Improvement Coalition Legislative action Contracted with Public Policy Partners to monitor State legislation during the General Assembly Provided testimony on State & County legislation and the County budget
