A Heart that Pleases God
Surrendered, repentant, and humble hearts are key to pleasing God. Romans 12:1-2 urges believers to present themselves as living sacrifices, transformed by renewal. Acts 3:19 and Revelation 3:19 emphasize the importance of repentance and change for a refreshed life in God's presence.

1. A surrendered heart Romans 12:1-2 - God only asks for yielded vessels John 3:30 - The more you seek God, the more your own agendas will decrease - Change of perspective: By ourselves Slaves of Sin Children of wrath bound for destruction We are separated from God by sin In Christ We have victory over sin We have the hope of eternal life We can come boldly before the presence of God, being cleansed of all sin not by our own works but by His holiness Evangel Christian Fellowship
Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.2 2And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. 1 Peter 5:5-7 5 5Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble. 6 6Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,7 7casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Matthew 18:1-5 At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven? 2 2Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them,3 3and said, Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:1-5 4 4Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.5 5Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me. Evangel Christian Fellowship
Humility is the root, mother, nurse, foundation and bond of all virtue John Chrysostom Evangel Christian Fellowship
When St Augustine was asked the first of Christian graces, he replied, Humility. When asked what he considered the second greatest Christian grace, he replied Humility. He was then asked, What do you consider the third greatest Christian grace? He again replied, firmed than ever Humility. Evangel Christian Fellowship
