Mission
Cambridge Feeder Football is a non-profit organization created to develop and prepare middle
school athletes for high school football.
 
The organization is governed and organized by volunteers and actively supports and partners with
the Cambridge High School football program.
GMSAA
Cambridge Feeder Football is dedicated to fielding competitive teams who play in the Georgia Middle
School Athletic Association (GMSAA) and preparing its athletes to excel at the high school level.
GMSAA athlete certification is based on residency requirements.  Athletes 
must be in the Cambridge
High School district in order to play for the Cambridge Feeder program.

Cambridge will support and work with Cambridge High School Football to create positive experiences that will
develop the skills and confidence of the players who will ultimately move to their program
Cambridge believes that player development occurs at practice where all players, regardless of their individual
experience or skill level, will have equal opportunity to improve their football skills and level of play
Cambridge supports multi-sport athletes
Success on the Field
All 3 grade levels have had the opportunity to make the playoffs each of the last 8 years
(2014 – 2022)

One Team, 2 Opportunities to Play
CJB is not a recreational program and thus has no guarantees related to game play-time
Game playing time is earned; it is not a right – nor is it guaranteed in any way
CJB will advocate and participate in GMSAA JV programs to provide ample game opportunities for players who
earn playing time
One Practice – Position Drills vs. Team Periods 
Players Dress for Both Games
32-35 Player Threshold to field a JV team
Six Quarter Rule - each player can only play 6 quarters a week; Saturday to Wednesday
5 Pre-Identified players are not permitted to play on Wednesday games

We never want financial means to affect a child's opportunity to play for CFF
Our program provides limited need-based scholarships

Player Safety
GMSAA Rules: Full contact during regular season practice shall:
Not be allowed on more than three (3) practice days per week
Not be allowed to occur on more than two (2) consecutive days
Guardian Caps are worn by players in practice 
ImPact Concussion testing is required for all players. All concussed players go for post injury testing and our
program requires a MD approval/clearance for return to play. An improved step by step procedure is in place. 
All injuries should be reporting to the team safety coach and the director of safety
Clearance from physician, parents, and coaches is required for player to return to game play
EMTs will be present at all home games and most away games.
All coaches are certified AED/CPR annually
Thermometers have been supplied to each team to measure heat index on the field to ensure safety before
practice
All teams have protocol for inclement weather during practice and games
Mandatory Volunteer Commitment
One Program Supporting each other
High School Varsity volunteers for the High School JV & Freshman games
High School JV & Freshman volunteer for the Junior Bear home games
Junior Bears volunteer for varsity high school Friday night home games
Each family is 
required
 to volunteer a minimum of 3 Feeder events per player
Each family is 
required
 to volunteer a minimum of 1 High School game per player

Coaches and Board members 
ARE NOT 
exempt from volunteering

 If you have 2 players then you are required to volunteer 6 Feeder events and 2 HS events.
Volunteer opportunities are Concessions, Parking, Admissions (Friday nights during the
football season)
A volunteer sign up will be sent as soon as the season schedule is available.
Any parents not signing up during the initial phase will be assigned and responsible for
volunteering during the assigned date and activity.
Fundraising
Our athletes will not have to fundraise for the Feeder program if there is strong
support from our business partners and parents.
We will be supporting the High School fundraising efforts
We are looking at several fundraising opportunities for this year
Business Partners – advertising for every home game

 – Spirit Wear, yard signs & player packs will be available to purchase in the coming weeks
May 16-18: Equipment Pick Up (May 16 - 8th, May 17- 7th, May 18 – 6th)
May: Dead Week – Expected last week of May. Awaiting final confirmation from GMSAA
June – Summer Performance Training (Details coming soon)
July: Dead Week – Expected week of July 4

July 10 - 12: Coaches Camp 3-day Clinic (fee included with registration)
July 17 - 19: ALL IN CAMP hosted by Cambridge High School (Fees NOT Included)

August TBD: Picture Day expected to be late August, more information will be communicated in the coming months
