6. 1653 _________________-This tomb was completed in 1653 after 21 years of construction. It was built by Shah Jahan for his wife. After the workers finished building it he had their hands cut off so that nothing as beautiful could ever be built again.

8. reign 1526-1530 Babur- Known as The Tiger, He was the first emperor of the ______ Empire. He was kind, wise, and a great leader, he was compassionate, his love of culture and poetry allowed the his Empire to be both artistic and militaristic.

10. What were the main reasons that Europeans began exploring? A. Because of the plague, they needed a new land to resettle their remaining population. B. They were looking for people to conquer and take as slaves to replace those that had died during the plague. C. They hoped to spread Christianity and find new, faster routes to Asia, the source of spices and luxury goods.
