  1. exothermic and endothermic changes of some substances when dissolved in water Made By: Zaid Zeidan

  2. What are Exothermic and Endothermic Reactions Endothermic An endothermic reaction is when a substance doesn t have enough energy to mix with the other so it takes in energy from its surroundings. They often have a negative change in temperature Exothermic An exothermic reaction is when a substance releases energy to the surroundings. Usually and exothermic reaction has a positive change in temperature

  3. Substances Used Firstly for our exothermic substances we used sodium hydroxide and lithium nitrate and for our endothermic substances we used ammonium nitrate, crystalline ammonium nitrate and potassium bromide

  4. Properties Sodium Hydroxide is exothermic and is crystal like at room temperature and it also has a high melting point. Ammonium Nitrate is endothermic and its highly soluble Lithium nitrate is a white, crystalline solid at room temperature. It is soluble in water and forms a clear, colorless solution. Crystalline ammonium nitrate typically appears as white, colorless crystals or granules. It is highly soluble in water and forms an aqueous solution Potassium bromide is a white, crystalline solid at room temperature. It is highly soluble in water and forms a clear, colorless solution.

  5. What they are used In Mostly, Exothermic substances are used for heating yourself. They are mostly used in heating systems in houses and they Hare used to generate power. However endothermic substances are used in cooling systems like refrigerators in your home or freezers they are also used in air cooling systems.
