Forces are interactions between objects that can be measured using spring scales in Newtons. They can be contact or non-contact, balanced or unbalanced, and include various types like tension, friction, magnetic, gravitational, electrostatic, and elastic spring force. Understanding forces helps explain changes in movement and shape of objects.

  4. FORCES types Non-contact contact Electrostatic force Magnetic force friction Push and pull is the attraction or repulsion of particles or objects because of their electric charge. Like charges repel and unlike charges attract. It is attractive or repulsive force that is exerted between the poles of a magnet. Unlike poles attractand like poles repel. is any force that opposes the motion of an object due to the contact of the object with other bodies. tension It is a pulling force exerted by ropes or wires. normal is the force that surfaces exert to prevent solid objects from passing through each other. The "normal" here refers to perpendicular. Gravitational force Is the force of attraction between all masses in the universe; Elastic spring force the attraction of the earth's mass for bodies near its surface it is called weight. is a pulling or pushing force exerted on a spring can cause the spring to stretch or compress.
