Fingers are together to create maximum
surface area.
Elbow placement
Shot put placement
 
Front
 
Offset feet about
shoulder width
apart.
Weight should shift
over the right foot.
Right foot initiates
the turn to the
front.
Tony Hip

Power throw drill
Right into left
 
 
 
 
Middle
 
Right foot is the
motor.
Pick left up and
shoot it through
to front.
Axis should
remain over the
center of right
foot.
Weight should not
shift until the shift
towards end of
throw starts.

Right foot pushes
out of the back.
Then sweeps into
the middle.
Left side of body
should create axis.
Open then close
the hips.
