The NHIS-TEEN study aims to gather information directly from adolescents aged 12-17 on various health topics like doctor visits, mental health, and social supports. By evaluating concordance between adolescent and parent reports, the study seeks to improve data accuracy. With a comprehensive study design involving web-based surveys and incentive programs, NHIS-TEEN intends to bridge the gap in adolescent health research. Effective recruitment strategies targeting both parents and teens ensure a robust sample size for analysis.
