GODS KINGDOM AMBASSADORS
JESUS SPECIAL MISSION(OUR LORD ) Jesus came to this earth with a special mission to establish the Kingdom of God An ambassador is a representative sent by one kingdom to represent and transact business in another. He is a messenger and authorized agent of the kingdom he represents. WE ARE: 1. AMBASSADORS AND CHILDREN OF THAT KINGDOM o Good ambassadors are never concerned with their own personal interests or opinions. -2 Corinthians 5:20 20 We are therefore Christ s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ s behalf: Be reconciled to God. o Their only concern is aligning with their government s will and influencing the host nation for their home government. -Luke 22:29-30 29And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;30That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. While the ambassador is appointed to the host nation, they have specific responsibilities to follow as they fulfill their ambassadorial duties. Maintaining connection and communication with their government -Philipians 3:20-21 We are called and appointed into God s Kingdom for specific responsibilities : For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:21Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
AMBASSADORS RESPONSIBILITIES Understanding the policies of their government Their position is only as viable as their relationship with their government is. KINGDOM CHARACTERISTICS AND VALUES: Carrying out the policies of their government Speaking the words of their government Faith(Faith manifested through works Being only concerned with the interests of their government simplicity of a child / purity. Defending the interests of theirgovernment belongs to those who suffer. Proclaiming the message of Hope (Message of God s Kingdom) Love( God and love your neighbour). Become the right and the salt honesty / truth. humility. unity joy in others' achievements. wealth and ambition must be sacrificed.
Some Gods Kingdom ambassadors essential qualities: Below some 10 qualities for CHRIST EMASSADORS : : An ambassador is . . 6. Fair.An ambassador is sympathetic and understanding toward others and will acknowledge the merits of contrary views. 7. Honest.An ambassador is careful with the facts and will not misrepresent another s view, overstate his own case, or understate the demands of the gospel. 1. Ready. An ambassador is alert for chances to represent Christ and will not back away from a challenge or an opportunity. 2 . Patient. An ambassador won t quarrel, but will listen in order to understand, then with gentleness will seek to respectfully engage those who disagree. 8. Humble.An ambassador is provisional in his claims, knowing that his understanding of truth is fallible. He will not press a point beyond what his evidence allows. 3.Reasonable. An ambassador has informed convictions (not just feelings), gives reasons, asks questions, aggressively seeks answers, and will not be stumped by the same challenge twice. 9. Attractive.An ambassador will act with grace, kindness, and good manners. He will not dishonor Christ in his conduct. 10. Dependent.An ambassador knows that effectiveness requires joining his best efforts with God s power.(Depending on His king s power) 4.Tactical.An ambassador adapts to each unique person and situation, manoeuvring with wisdom to challenge bad thinking, presenting the truth in an understandable and compelling way. 5. Clear.An ambassador is careful with language and will not rely on Christian lingo nor gain unfair advantage by resorting to empty rhetoric.
