  2. This week This week we have been learning about division. What do we do when we divide a number? We share the number into equal parts. Today we are going to be dividing by 10 so we will need to share the number into 10 equal parts.

  4. Counting in 10s Have a practice of counting in 10 s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ftati8iGQcs

  5. Today: Today when you are dividing a number by 10 you could use practical resources to help you but you would need a lot of them! I am going to show you a trick which will hopefully make dividing by 10 super easy.

  6. Example 40 10 = When we divide by 10 all we need to do is remove the 0 So we remove the 0 from 40 to make 4 The answer is 4!

  7. Example 60 10 = When we divide by 10 all we need to do is remove the 0 So we remove the 0 from 60 to make 6 The answer is 6!

  8. Remember: Remember the trick .. When we divide by 10 just take the 0 away from the number. If you do the challenge numbers today you just use the trick Eg 140 10 = 14 We removed the 0 from 140 to make 14
