2. Gender is social condition of being male or female , the appropriate behavior and attitudes, roles and activities assigned to men and women by society. Gender stratification describes an unequal distribution of rewards. (socially valued resources, power, prestige and personal freedom) between men and women .

3. It means men and women do not have equal access to society s resources. Males are provided with more power, prestige, privilege and respect than the female sexes.

4. Gender stratification has placed more men in positions of influential economic, social and political importance. There are a few female sexes in high- ranking social, economic positions. Males have more decision making power than females. and political
