ASA offers a comprehensive pathway program that includes diverse initiatives like Come and Try sessions, Green & Gold Camps, National Squad Programs, and more to develop and nurture talents in aquatic sports. From attracting new participants to identifying and training young athletes, the program covers a wide range of activities aimed at enhancing skills and fostering a competitive spirit among participants of different age groups. Through structured programs and camps, ASA aims to prepare athletes for national and international competitions, providing a platform for growth and success in aquatic sports.

ASA Programs States based Come and Try (States Sport Organisation -SSO) Going for Green & Gold Camps (Talent Identification TID) Youth and Junior National Squad Program (Talent Verified) Youth Squad Female 13-15 age group Male 13-16 age group Junior Squad Female 15-19 age group Male 15-20 age group Senior National Center of Excellence Program 15 + above Next Generation Squad Program (annual)

  3. Come and Try (SSO) Why? To attract new participants in the sport Who? Delivered by club coaches Where? Delivered in each state by each club What? 2 hour program ( hour intro on sport, land training, water based, hour for any questions) ASA provide a Program / Manual / Runsheet for the events When? Clubs as a condition of the FY2024 Development Grant will have to organise 4 Come and Try's in a FY ASA will provide $150 towards any additional come and try's clubs will organise (maximum of 6 additional C&T) Other? ASA provide shirt / water bottle if the kids sign up for the next term after the come and try session

  4. Going for Green & Gold Camps (TID) Why? Skills development and talent identification for athletes aged 13 and under Who? National Pathway Coach is responsible for Program, delivered pool side by National HP coaches and states coaches Where? Delivered in each state What? States based school holiday program minimum 2 times yearly (2,5 - 3 days camp) , combination of land and water training, additional workshops Focus on technical skills development Other Opportunity for young states-based coaches' development and work with High-Performance coaches Opportunity for Judges to come practice Cost $199 per camp (3 days) or $75 a day

Athletes development, monitoring and selection structure HP camp-based program school holiday time 8-11 days high-intensive camp and benchmark international event (international competition, international training camp with World Class High- Performance team) National Pathway Coach close contact work with States and Clubs National Pathway Coach States and Club visit 2-3 times per year athletes monitoring in Club training environment Athletes testing 2-4 times a year scanning progression between camps during the whole year Individual Athlete Performance Plan (IAPP) Individual meeting Support services (development in team-work environment) Going For Green and Gold Camp Early trials/selection process

Youth and Junior National Squad Program (Talent Verified) Development Year (non-World Championship Year) Work on new Choreographies Technique development International competition experience and/or international training camp opportunity with another World Class high-performance team Cost TBC up to the yearly program/goals (not include the domestic flight) World Championship Year Preparation for main event World Aquatics World Championship Represent Australia in different events on World Championship Cost TBC up to the competition location (not include the domestic flight)

  7. Next Generation Program (home environment support) Support elite underage athletes in the Junior, Youth and 12 and underage group National Pathway coach States and Club visit two three times yearly, testing and monitoring the athletes, Individual Athlete Performance Plan (IAPP) Best Australian athletes' individual support Strength and Condition training plan, Injury prevention plan, Performance Psychologist support, Well-being support, Nutritionist etc. Support Where possible State Institute Scholarship States based training opportunity (during school term): Acrobatics / diving / gymnastic Ballet / flexibility

NEXT GENERATION SQUAD (Intense training workshop) Why:targeted development program with the identified talent/HP athletes with 2032 potential (12 and under Talented athletes, Youth and Junior High-performance athletes Who: delivered by National Pathway Coach, supported by National Youth/Junior Coach where possible Where: state based (run simultaneously with school holiday skills builder) What: 3-day intensive training, focus on technical and skills development, set high performance environment training goals AMS Testing and IAPP conversations Other: Invited: Top 5 of the 12 and under athletes of the state (based on competition result) , National Youth and Junior Squad members of the state Camp is subsidised by ASA for these athletes, registration fee is $99 per athlete for athletes 12 and under, registration fee is included in National Youth and Junior Squad program costs

  9. Senior National Centre Of Excellence Program (NCOE) Centralised full time training program Based in Perth Age Group 15 + Above Next open trials after 2024 Paris Olympic (September/October 2024) more information TBC
