The Green Climate Fund (GCF) is a key financial mechanism under the UNFCCC and the Paris Agreement, with a portfolio comprising 35 projects/programs funded at USD 1.5 billion. It aims to address climate change through various sectors like energy access, transport, forestry, livelihoods, health, infrastructure, and ecosystems. The estimated climate impacts include mitigation of 2.3 GtCO2eq and adaptation benefiting 162 million people. The GCF pipeline includes 169 concept notes totaling USD 7.9 billion. Programming encompasses country programs, entity work programs, INDCs, NAPs, and stakeholder engagement to align with country priorities.
