  3. Hadeeth : ." " : causing harm to others It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Messenger of Allah said: There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm. [Ibn Majah] : causing harm by reciprocating

  4. It is a concise statement by the Messenger ; It consists of few words but wide meaning. It indicates the protection of man from every kind of harm, whether: self-inflicted or caused by others If it is done as reciprocation or not. The Prophet forbade harm in general. Significance of the Hadeeth

  5. What is the significance of neither and nor in the hadeeth? That it is impermissible to harm or to reciprocate harm. Thinking Time! Why is the word harm indefinite in the hadeeth? Because it includes all kinds of harm.

  6. Dealings amongst people could result in harm, mostly unintentional. There would be a party that caused the harm and a party that sustained it. Example: road accidents. Police determine the party to blame and the one liable for the cost of the damage, this important task is carried out by the UAE courts. Damage then needs to be removed & rectified, but not through causing another damage as a revenge, So that ill feelings do not overtake the values of tolerance and compassion amongst society members. Therefore the law should be referred to for assessing & removing the damage. Order & Commitment

  7. One aspect of mercy in Islamic Shar iah is easing difficult things for man as they cause harm. All the rules of the Islamic law are based on easing things for mankind and achieving happiness in this world and the Hereafter. Shari ah is a mercy for the worlds

  8. Reflect Islam is keen on keeping strong family relations, because family is the basic unit of a society. Therefore, Islam established several rules that prevent harm amongst family members in order to maintain a strong and coherent society.

  9. The Muslim must consider different options he has before taking a decision. If his decisions of doing something involves causing harm, he must study the options well first, then take a decision, so as to cause the least possible harm. The Muslim is Polite and Smart

  10. Analyze & Infer: The people seeking wealth gave the Messenger 2 options: 1.They will beg from him 2. Think about Him that he is a miser 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah distributed some wealth and I said to him, O Messenger of Allah! Do you not think that there are other people who are more deserving than these whom you gave. He said, They had, in fact, left no alternative for me except either they should beg of me importunately or they would regard me as a miser; but I am not a miser. [Saheeh Muslim] What was the choice of the Messenger ? He gave them wealth Reason of his choice: So that they don t beg or think bad about Him as this would cause them harm If we want to take a decision, what should we do? That your decision will not cause harm to others

  11. Laws prevent harm & lift the harm if occurred The UAE has set several laws and legislations to prevent harm from occurring to both Citizens & Residents. One of them relates to the rights of sellers and buyers.
