Endangered Flora and Fauna in Poland
Bees in Poland are facing threats from pesticides, lynx populations are at risk due to human activities and parasites, European bison are found in mixed forests, grey seals in the Baltic Sea are protected, Alpine edelweiss is rare in Poland, and the common yew is a slow-growing tree of value. These species highlight the importance of conservation efforts in Poland.

Flora and Fauna Endangered species of animals and plants in Poland
BEE Bees are dying because of pesticides such as neonicotinoids that are used in crop protection measures. It has been found that even their slight use causes bees disorientation, memory loss or fatal poisoning
LYNX In Poland, as of 31.12.2010, 285 lynx lives. In natural conditions lynx enemies are wolves. Man and his activity are a threat to him, as well as weakness caused by the occurrence of numerous parasites.
European Bison According to data from 2013, there were 1377 bison in Poland, the majority of them (1138) in freedom herds European bison inhabit mixed forests with wet meadows their body weight is on average 700 kg, a minimum of 440 kg, and a maximum of 920 kg, the height at the withers is on average 172 cm, and a maximum of 188 cm;
Grey Seal The greatest threat to the Baltic women is human [11]. The sea grays were hunted over most of its range up to the middle of the 20th century. The marine scarlet is a species protected under national and international legislation. Hunting is conducted only on a small part of the range and directed at reducing the impact on fishing.
EDELWEISS The Alpine edelweiss in the Polish flora and in the Polish literature described as a separate species. Occurs in the Alps, the Apennines, the Carpathians and in the Balkan Peninsula. The only natural positions in Poland are in the Tatras. It is under strict protection.
CROCUS Crocus - a type of plant. It includes over 80 species. The typical species is cultivated saffron Application: - Decorative plants - Culinary art - As a dye
Taxus baccata Common yew - a species of evergreen coniferous tree or large shrub from the family Tisza. It occurs naturally in Europe, in West Asia and in North Africa. It is a slow-growing, long-lived plant (reaches over a thousand years). It is used extensively - as an ornamental plant, medicinal and providing valuable wood.
BETULA OYCOVIENSIS Variety of silver birch. It was first described in 1809 by the Polish botanist Wilibald Besser. In 1920, it was found by Janina Jentys-Szaferowa, who, after long research, announced their results in 1928 in the Yearbook of the Polish Dendrological Society and in 1953 in Nature Protection.
