National Savings and Credit Bank (NATSAVE) 
is a 100% Government owned Financial Institution that was 
established in
1972 by an Act of Parliament
 namely; the National Savings and Credit Act, Chapter 423 of the Laws of Zambia. NATSAVE
hails from the Post Office Savings Bank of Zambia first set up in 1896 and converted to financial services provision in 1926.
The NATSAVE Act gives the Bank the power to administer funds on behalf of any person or agency, accept deposits,
operate saving schemes, make loans and carry on any form of banking business.
The 
Bank was created with a social mandate 
to deliver banking services to all parts of the country, especially the rural
areas, at an affordable price.

FINANCING SOLUTIONS
1.
PROJECT FINANCING
NATSAVE will offer project
financing to Councils.
2.      BRIDGE FINANCING
This will support the following:
Approved projects in local
communities awaiting funding
from Ministry can be financed
by Natsave so that work
commences or continues while
waiting finance processes
.
 
 
 
REVENUE COLLECTIONS
 
Natsave will utilise its vast Branch
Network, Mobile Banking platform and
Agency model to:
 Collect revenues from every market,
bus station or other locations and
provide Proof of Payment (POP).
Ensuring direct to bank collections,
reducing cash handling and reducing
income leakages in the process.
Ensure Vendors make deposits  direct
to bank and simply produce POP to
relevant authorities.
Ensure Natsave uses some councils as
local agents for collections. This will
provide the councils with additional
revenue streams
Provide Instant statements and audit
trails whenever required. The bank
will retain information for up to 10
years.
INVESTMENT OF EXCESS

short, medium and long-term
investment options for any
excess cash that may not
required for immediate

BANKING SOLUTIONS – EMPLOYEES & ELECTED OFFICIALS
 
SAVINGS ACCOUNTS
 
Growth Savers Account
This is a savings product targeted at Council employees
that want to save gradually. The account comes with
an attractive  interest rates.
 
Salary Account
This is a transactional account targeting Council
employees earning above K2,000 per month. This
account comes with a debit card, Mobile and internet
banking.
 
Easy Salary account
This is a transactional account targeting Council
employees earning less than K2,000 per month. This
account comes with a debit card, Mobile and internet
 
 
STAFF FINANCING
 
Natquick
With this product Council employees can access funds
in form of a salary advance 
for up to 12 month at rates
that are very competitive
 
Natlink Loan
This is a salary backed loan facility where Council
employees can access fund for up to 60 months (OR
Tenure of office for elected officials) and deductions are
done directly from individual’s account.
 
Institutional Loan
This is a salary backed loan facility which can be
accessed through a signed MOU between the Council
and NATSAVE. Deductions are done by the employer
and remitted to NATSAVE.
 
 
 
NATSAVE’S ADMISSION TO ZECHL AND NFS
NATSAVE is admitted on the Zambia Electronic Clearing House Limited 
(ZECHL) 
and was granted direct access to participate using
its assigned Sort code. This means NATSAVE is now able to directly facilitate local currency electronic funds transfers through Direct
Debit and Credit Clearing (DDACC).
NATSAVE has also been admitted onto the National Financial Switch 
(NFS). 
This means our customers can now use their NATSAVE
debit cards on NATSAVE ATMs as well as on other bank ATMS that are connected to NFS. Customers with cards issued by other
Banks in Zambia can also transact on our extensive ATM network countrywide.
These strides will make payment processing easier and efficient and improve the interaction levels with the Local Authorities. Note
that this is the first phase of NATSAVE integration onto national electronic platform with the second phase of Real Time Gross
Settlement 
(RTGS) 
and 
Cheque clearing 
earmarked for third quarter 2023. In the meantime, the Bank will continue to facilitate for
RTGS and Cheque clearing as has been the custom.
 
 
 
E-PAY  AND DIGITAL PAYMENT PLATFORMS
 
E- Pay platform is a solution that allows customer to perform various functions at the comfort of the offices. The Solution is internet based in which customers
have an option to either make single or multiple payments (Bulk Payments) for both internal ( i.e., NATSAVE Clientele ) and External (i.e., Interbank clientele)
Through a file Upload. 
The digital payment platforms are a core part of the bank’s strategic intent to become a number one financial service provider to all
Zambians at affordable costs
