Perspectives on Success by 8th Graders at MVMS 2016-2017
Various 8th graders from MVMS in 2016-2017 share their definitions of success. Success, according to these students, ranges from achieving personal satisfaction in work, financial stability, and reaching set goals to finding happiness, giving back, and recognizing self-worth. These insightful perspectives highlight the diverse ways success is perceived and achieved.

Abbe Success is something you earn. ~Krusty McKrusterson
Graham Success is the point when you are able to be satisfied with your work though you may or may not have reached your end goal. [G. Pablo Thomas]
Arden Success is when you have a great life, a wonderful career, and you are happy with your life and you enjoy your life. -ARDEN MORGAN
Jathan Success is having enough money to support myself and get a good job while still having a happy life. ~Cometstreak
Julie Success is setting a goal, reaching that goal through hard work, determination, and both giving and getting, and feeling a sense of accomplishment upon completing that goal. When reached, the next level of success appears in the distant future, and you start the journey over again. - Julie Raugh
Lou Success is a point where giving is more important and easierthan receiving. It is self recognized. -Lou Lindsley
Luke Success is completing the task given to you and feeling happy afterwards, without having to force yourself to do anything or be depleted when you are done. Luke Horst
Max Success with how you reached them and their end result. Kreitzer Success is to finish ANY of your goals, and to be satisfied Maxwell Maxwell Kreitzer
Miah Success is having money. It is a good job. It is going to a good college. These are just perceptions of someone s idea of success. In reality, success is happiness. It is loving what you do. It is getting what you want out of life. -Miah Gallo
