The CAS-UTI service in Wales extends common ailment services, requiring pharmacists to undergo additional training. Patients aged 16-64, excluding certain criteria, can be referred to this service for urinary tract infection (UTI) assessment. Clinical assessments follow NICE guidance, with urinalysis offered as part of the diagnostic process. The service focuses on providing self-care advice and appropriate management. Collaborative efforts and referral pathways support local implementation.
