Masons Cove Elementary Info 200 students Title I School Large attendance zone- touches Botetourt County, Craig County, and Montgomery County. Rural locations contribute to challenges with internet access and cell service.
Masons Cove Elementary Info (continued) A school with a true community feel. School was completely rebuilt in 2011. Supportive families and involved community.
Create a school culture that helps students to feel welcome and safe. Establish positive relationships with students, families, and the community. Provide quality instruction that serves as the foundation for future learning and development. Facilitate learning experiences that engage students and encourage their interest in learning. Masons Cove Elementary Focus The Masons Cove Elementary Staff is an AMAZING group who work hard to provide quality instruction and make learning enjoyable.
Small group instruction and hands on learning opportunities are imbedded throughout the general classroom setting.
Creative and Enriching Encore Classes Library- Buddy Books. Students can partner with a buddy to check out the same book and read it together. Coding as a station in the library. Art- School wide art projects PE and Music do a yearly collaboration: The P.E. and Music Collaborative Learning Lollapalooza-Super-Fun-Zone-Spectacular Extravaganza.
Special Events and activities in school. School wide Thanksgiving Meal Fun Run Rewards Celebrating Read Across America Week 5th Grade Element Parade
