  2. Who are you? How did you get here? What do you hope to get out of this?

  3. New Years Resolutions Do you remember what yours was? Fact: 40% of New Year s Resolutions are Fitness related Fact: Only 8% of Resolutions (goals) are actually met. What are the 8% doing that the other 92% are not???

Tools that enable Success Create SMART Goals S specific, significant, stretching M measurable, meaningful, motivational A attainable, achievable, acceptable, action-oriented, agreed upon R realistic, relevant, reasonable, rewarding, results-oriented T time-based, time-bound, timely, tangible, trackable Many people fail in life, not for lack of ability or brains or even courage, but simply because they have never organized their energies around a goal. -Renowned American philosopher and writer Elbert Hubbard

  5. Tools that enable Success Write your goals down Identified as a commonality in the 3% of Harvard MBAs who make 10x more than the other 97% combined.

  6. Tools that enable Success Tell people about your goals Who would you tell?? Acquaintance vs Close Friend Find somebody with a vested interest in your success not your failure. Telling others about your goals creates an element of accountability Accountability eliminates your ability to fail in silence which is powerful.

  7. Do you know your Why? Most have identified What they want to accomplish Some have a plan as to How they want to accomplish their What Few have identified the Why behind the How and the What

Example #1 What: Travel to Cabo San Lucas Mexico for our Anniversary (3-4 nights) Use sky miles to purchase airline tickets Stay at a VRBO (cheap) close to the expensive resorts we like and pay for day-passes. Kids stay with grandparents. Put aside $400 per month into an anniversary fund. How: Why?: 2017 was a very challenging year for our family. By the grace of God we made it through the tough times and we want to celebrate how far we ve come while creating new joyful memories.

  9. Why Not Now? Next Steps 1 2 3 4 Identify your SMART Goal and your WHY Physically write both down Identify somebody you can share these with for accountability Choose an action item to adhere to for the next 2 weeks.

Drink your body weight in oz of water each day Modify if necessary Drink Eat Eat 3 servings of fruit/vegetables per day Eat Eat breakfast every day Healthy Habit Options Eat Eat Protein at every meal Perform Perform at least 5 minutes of deliberate exercise per day Cook or prepare Personally cook or prepare at least 3 of your meals this week Cut out Cut out all naturally and/or artificially sweetened beverages Allow Allow yourself 8 hours of sleep time each night Don t add Don t add salt to any of your food
