  1. SIMP: single microwave photon detection SIMP: single microwave photon detection WP3 - Transition Edge Sensors Single Photon Counter (30-100 GHz) 1. Selection of the best material as single or multi-layer with proper thicknesses and optimization of deposition process on different substrate types. 2. Design and fabrication of antenna-coupled TES by micro/nano lithographic techniques. 3. Test down to 5 mK of the antenna-coupled TES with dc-SQUID readout. PROGRAMMA SCIENTIFICO 2019 TASK ATTUALMENTE ATTIVI Task 3.1 Materials investigation for TES (M1-M18) (INRIM, TIFPA, NEST) Fabrication and characterization of SC films to identify the best materials for TES realization with TC between 10 and 50 mK. INRIM will fabricate bilayer films of Ti/Au or Ti/Pd with TC modulated by the proximity effect of 40 50 mK; CNR-NANO NEST, building on the experience of the STAX project, will investigate Al/Cu and Ti/Cu down to 10 mK. TIFPA/FBK will fabricate, where appropriate, alternative SC films on 6 wafers. Task 3.3 Design and Fabrication of an antenna-coupled TES (M1-M24) (INRIM, NEST, INFN-Pi) Spiral or dipole antenna matched in vacuum or in waveguide will be designed and simulated (WP4). Based on these designs INFN-Pi will fabricate and test in its laboratory at room and cryogenic temperatures some antenna configurations, using a 300 mK refrigerator with quarz window and a microwave radiation source (30-100 GHz).
