  3. Early Help - Youth Justice Service The Youth Justice Service sits within Early Help. It s a multi-agency team, including Youth Justice Officers, Seconded Police Officers, Probation Officers, Social Worker, Education Liaison Officers, Health Worker, Substance Misuse Officer, Bail and Remand Officers, Crime & Impact Support Workers, Reparation Volunteer Development Officer Based in Scarborough and Harrogate (with a small team in Selby), the team work with young people who are involved with, or are at risk of entering, the Criminal Justice System. Tier one works with young people on a preventative level, those who are on edge of the Criminal Justice System, those who have received out of court disposals, bail support, reparation orders and referral orders up to 6 months. Tier two works on a diversionary basis with young people on referral orders 7 months or more, community orders, remand and custody. OFFICIAL - SENSITIVE

  8. Early Help Consultants (2a & 2b) There core focus is to offer support to schools and other partners enabling the co-ordinated delivery of Early Help support to children and their families. Early Help Consultants are the main point of contact for schools and will work alongside you to support the delivery of early interventions specific to the needs of children and families. Providing information advice and guidance on Early Help Assessment and pulling together multi-agency meetings to develop a clear plan for the child and their family. Advising when it is appropriate to request additional support from Early Help. Early Help Consultants work alongside Multi Agency Screening Team OFFICIAL - SENSITIVE

  9. Children & Family Workers (2c) The C&FW work directly with children, young people and their families and provide interventions to cases open to Family Assessment & Support Teams. Time Frames and Key Performance Referrals are received from MAST. The C&FW has 5 working days to visit the family and 20 working days to complete the assessment. Case are regular reviewed via monthly supervision. The assessments are working documents with the plan reviewed every 6 weeks with the family using the Signs of safety approach of what s working well, what are we worried about. Regular step across discussions are held with the Family Assessment and Support Teams when the complexity of cases are escalating or there are safeguarding concerns and may meet the threshold for CIN/CP and need to be stepped across. Key Principles Work to our Strength in Relationship Practice Model. Strong focus on family networks. Cultural genograms are standard process to fully understand the wider family. The C&FW always gather s wishes and feelings work with the children and part of the assessment/plan. That C&FW uses the plan to identify with families the support they need, what are the steps to take to get there and who is able to support. OFFICIAL - SENSITIVE

  10. Children and Family Support Workers The role of the C&FSW is to support the positive delivery of Family Time, enabling children in care to spend time with their family members. Deliver 1-1 interventions to families open to Early Help and group based activities. Key part of there role is developing links with the community so that we are aware of opportunities in local areas. In September we launched our Get Going Grants, where community and voluntary organisations can apply for up to 1000 to support children, young people and their families The C&FSW are line managed by the Practice Co-ordinators.   11. Family Time A Family Time Safety Plan is completed with children, young people, family members, friends, foster carers & connected people everyone in the child s network. It includes up to date safety requirements in relation to Covid 19. This is a live document and updated after any significant changes and should always be reviewed at a child or young persons Looked After Review. Each person who has an individual Family Time with a child should have their own safety plan. Each update is recorded on the child s case summary with the date highlighted and shared with the family, foster carers and other professionals (including Practice Coordinators, Fostering Social Workers, Children and Family Support Workers, and the Independent Reviewing Officers).
