  3. LANGSTON.AWARDSPRING.COM Students must apply for free at Langston.edu/apply-now for admission to the university and then create another account for scholarships at the above link (Langston.AwardSpring.Com). Scholarships are no longer automatically given starting last academic year. We use the unweighted, cumulative grade point average for both admission and scholarships. A 2.4 is currently required for first-time freshmen and a 2.75 for transfer students. Scholarship eligibility for first-time freshmen starts at a 2.5 unweighted, cumulative grade point average. Transfer students are not eligible for academic money, outside of major-specific majors. Athletic, Band, and Choir scholarships are awarded by the leadership within these programs.

  4. LANGSTON.AWARDSPRING.COM The Honors Program is composed of two scholarship recipients: Edwin P. McCabe Scholarship (April 1 Deadline) - To be eligible students must have a 3.5 unweighted GPA with a minimum composite ACT score of a 22 or 1100 on SAT - Recipients receive tuition, fees, room & board, and textbooks Regents Scholarship (April 1 Deadline) - To be eligible students must have a 3.3 unweighted GPA (or an unadvertised 3.8 gpa that is test optional) with a composite ACT score of a 20 or SAT score of a 1020 - Pays for Room & Board (roughly an 11,000 value-value fluctuates depending on the housing unit) - This will not pair with the Lions', Legacy, PASS (Band version of Bridge) or Bridge Scholarships. Both scholarships are exclusively for first-time freshmen and students may not be added at a later date or transfer in to the program. An essay is required. Students are highly encouraged to upload a resume rather than do the questionnaire. A rubric awards points based on test scores, grade point average, resume (community service, professionalism, etc.), with the ultimate question being which candidates are most likely to maintain the high standards of the honors program and graduate from Langston University, despite the rigorous honors classes.

  5. LANGSTON.AWARDSPRING.COM Bridge Scholarship-out-of-state fee waiver scholarship awarded at a 2.5 GPA if the state touches Oklahoma; 3.0 nationwide It may not be combined with other academic offers (first-time freshmen only; exceptions for major specific scholarships) ($7514.52 estimated annual value that changes each year as the pricing changes). Louisiana was removed from the 2.5 exception three years ago. Students must earn a 2.75 gpa and pass fifteen credits each semester to maintain the scholarship. Summer classes and overloads (over 18 credits) are billed at the out-of-state rate.

  6. LANGSTON.AWARDSPRING.COM Lions Scholarship $4,000 value (split by semester), for Oklahoma residents or who live in states that do not touch the state of Oklahoma who have between a 2.50 and a 2.99 grade point average. This is good for only their first year. This will not pair with the Bridge, PASS (band version of Bridge), or Honors Program Scholarships. They may apply for the "Continuing Student Scholarship" from Financial Aid (usually in February), but it typically maxes out at a $1,500 award and is often smaller.
