Planet Green Force (PGF) is a global league aiming to educate and inspire K-12 students to combat global warming, promote green initiatives, ensure food security, and advocate for environmental justice. Through a combination of experiential learning, regional competitions, and themed programs, PGF empowers youth to become leaders in sustainability and environmental conservation. Planet Green Force Mission Planet Green Force (PGF) is envisioned as a worldwide league for children K-12 with the mission to educate, engage, ignite passion, build awareness and mount meaningful change in battling global warming, embracing green initiatives, food security & fighting for environmental justice. Inspire the next generation of Green LEADERS!

  3. PGF: Global Impact with Local Touch Troops established at schools and/or in local community, each headed by teacher/leader PGF mission & key elements consistent among troops Programming/themes take on local flavor to ensure relevance & engagement Impactful & FUN!

  4. Key Elements of PGF Experiential learning: age-appropriate environmental curriculum, community service /volunteerism, engaging activities & project work Badges for completing themed programming tasks/initiatives Introduction to AI for Good technology and the vital role tech advancements play Youth encouraged & rewarded for spreading what they learn to family, classmates & community in person & via social media: Green Advocacy

  5. Key Elements of PGF Regional competitions to celebrate success, share innovations and motivate. Winning entries could be presented on world stage such as World Economic Forum, UN General Assembly, COP, etc. Promote creativity, power of teamwork/collaboration Incorporate best practices from top green programs: USDA s Ag in the Classroom (AITC); Green Camp, Bali; Eco Schools; EPA s Kiddle materials; NOAA Ocean Guardian Kids Club; etc.

PGF Theme Examples: Seeds of Security Importance of food security/sovereignty Grow container gardens: hands-on instruction Provision of school hydroponics or aquaponics system Intro to composting; start school compost pile/container Help develop cafeteria lunch menu items incorporating troop crops Sell excess through school marketplaces; help make program self-sufficient Create opportunity similar to UN Food and Agriculture Organization s Global Chef Challenge / Create cookbook Core curriculum concepts in science, social studies, technology, nutrition, etc. Track & record detailed metrics/success Field trips to local farms/green markets

PGF Theme Examples: Mangrove Restoration Importance of mangroves to the ecosystem Learn science behind how mangroves prevent erosion, purify environment & provide nurseries for wildlife Adoption of mangroves including hands-on planting in mangrove forest Regular visits to mangrove forest to track growth and success; record metrics Cleanup/trash removal in mangrove forests, study of threats to mangroves Art project creating educational posters on protecting mangroves Study of wildlife and I spy contests for identifying native animals/birds/ plants/underwater life, etc. Additional curriculum concepts related to social studies, technology, etc.

  8. PGF Theme Examples: Four Rs Program Importance of following Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Collection by troops of recyclable items in community. Consider rewards for the team that collects the most recyclables Advocacy for community recycling: outreach to local politicians and community encouraging recycling Cleanups of local beaches and parks Create artwork or otherwise repurpose what others might think is trash Hold community yard sale where people donate gently used items for sale, PGF troops coordinate, organize and man tables/stations; proceeds benefit troop Core curriculum concepts in science, social studies, language arts, technology, etc.

PGF Rollout Plan Three Six USVI Schools as a Pilot Project Sri Lanka Pilot Program: Ananda College With data & success, expand throughout USVI territory, then lobby for growth in US Simultaneous controlled expansion in Sri Lanka/South Asia Firm up international partners by soliciting support from UNEP, UN, COP, etc. Collaborate & Share Success!

  10. PGF Centers Future consideration: Interactive PGF Centers to support community engagement & eco-tourism. Overnight boot camps would offer exciting, intensive eco-programming for youth (and their families) while helping build a new generation of committed green ambassadors.

  11. PGF Funding By seeking the support of government entities as well as corporate and private sources while exploring ways to make the program self- sustaining, the aim is to maximize funding opportunities.
