Light is a way of transferring energy Light sources give out light and we call them luminous luminousobjects objects Objects that do not give out light we call nonluminous nonluminousobjects objects Luminous Objects are categorized into two different categories: Natural Light Sources and Unnatural Light Sources.

  4. Light Vocabulary When an object gives gives out out light we say the object is emitting emitting light. When an object allows allows light light to to pass pass through we say the object is transmitting transmittinglight. When an object does does not not allow allow light light to to pass pass through we say the object is absorbing absorbinglight. When light gets gets bounced bounced off off an object we say the light is being reflected reflected.
